S. Nasira Iqbal

I feel truly fortunate to have spent over 15 years in the financial planning profession — a field I consider a true helping profession. My mission is to change the misconception that financial planning is a luxury reserved for the wealthy. In truth, financial planning is fundamental for everyone. My vision is to guide individuals through a holistic financial life planning process that weaves financial goals and personal aspirations together, leading them toward more confident and fulfilling lives.

I am a proud Dean’s Honor List graduate of UC Berkeley Extension, where I earned a Certificate with Distinction in Personal Financial Planning. I am also a Certified Financial Planner™. Believing that financial planning is about much more than just numbers, I pursued a master’s in advanced financial planning with a concentration in Financial Life Planning from Golden Gate University — graduating with the highest honors. Additionally, I hold a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from Bangalore University.

I am passionate about giving back to the profession and committed to remaining a fee-only financial planner — meaning I am compensated solely by my clients and never through commissions or product sales. I have had the privilege of serving on the board of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of San Francisco, including as President in 2020 and Chairperson in 2021. I also actively participate in many of the profession’s pro bono financial planning initiatives.

Outside of my professional life, I love wandering and hiking in nature, traveling the world, discovering new cultures, and indulging my culinary curiosity.
